Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2022

Today marks the 11th Global Accessibility Awareness Day which aims to raise awareness of the importance of digital inclusion.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a yearly celebration to join together and talk, think and learn about digital access and inclusion, supporting the one billion people worldwide with a disability/impairment.

An important aspect of digital inclusion is providing an accessible online presence and we’re very happy that our brand-new website features the Recite Me accessibility tools to customise the digital experience and suit individual needs. These accessibility and language support options include text-to-speech functionality, fully customisable styling features, reading aids and a translation tool with over 100 languages, including 35 of them text-to-speech.

With improving our digital accessibility on the website, we want to support building an inclusive online world. Today’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a way of pointing towards the importance of understanding the barriers presented online and how we can adapt and overcome them.
