Life was never better on a swing, the higher the better!

Come and enter the world of The Swings. Watch as the aerialists swing, climb, play and perform. Then The Swings are open for everyone to swing upon.

You can expect a 5m high giant swing set, 2 swings, 2 aerialists and a sound installation where you can play, watch and listen – an interactive event for the whole family.

The public swing sessions will be managed on a first-come-first-served basis a few minutes after the end of each performance.

Accessible Swing Sessions:

Accessible swings are available for both performance days – but as this requires additional preparation, they are installed upon request. The accessible swings are bucket seats that are on pulley systems and are lowered to help people get in. The seat also has a safety strap. There is a child-size and an adult-size support seat available, which look like these: https://specialneedstoys.com/uk/full-support-swing-seats-special-needs-swings.html

There is no lifting system in place and these swings are not capable of supporting a wheelchair. They are accessible to wheelchair users if the guests can either transfer themselves over or be supported by their companion into the bucket swings. Please be aware that the last few metres of getting to The Swings will be over a grassy area.

If you would like to arrange an accessible swing session, then please contact Lisa@artreach.org.uk to discuss your visit and your requirements.

Jubilee Square sits at the top of the High Street in Leicester and is fully accessible with some permanent seating arrangements too. Though some of the grass areas do have dropped kerb access, we will ensure that the stages built for performances will be viewable from all accessible parts of the square.

If you have any concerns over access or need to request some additional provisions to assist you in attending this performance, please contact Lisa@artreach.org.uk
