On September 27th, the American Cathedral in Paris served as the backdrop for the first solo fashion show of “AKITSU chemi akutami,” the fashion brand of Chemi Akutami, a designer whose talent and artistic sensitivity are rapidly gaining international recognition.

This event marked a pivotal moment in Akutami’s career, as he carefully chose this iconic space after being captivated by its beauty during a previous fashion show in 2022. “If I were to host it for the first time, the place would be here,” the artist enthusiastically declared, emphasizing the special bond he has established with the French capital.

Chemi Akutami

Akutami is not just a designer; he is a storyteller through his creations. His latest collection, inspired by the themes of “Ninja” and “Oiran,” reflects a contemporary interpretation of “cyberpunk” style, blending tradition and modernity.

The “Hannya” masks, symbols of protection and transformation, were used as accents, adding further depth to his garments. Although the works are not for sale, they can be made to order, allowing each customer to own a unique piece of his artistic vision.

Chemi Akutami

Akutami’s career intertwines with Milan, where he participated in his fifth Milan Fashion Week. “It’s not an exaggeration to say that I was trained in Milan, thank you Milan!” the designer states, acknowledging the city’s importance in his professional and personal growth. However, his gaze is critical towards other fashion capitals: “NYFW felt dead,” he comments, highlighting the lack of authenticity and respect for American fashion culture.

Chemi Akutami

A distinctive aspect of Akutami’s work is his commitment to diversity. The model audition, held two days before his show, saw the participation of over 300 candidates, from which 13 Japanese models were selected.

The selection process was grounded in a fundamental principle: “live happily,” with no limitations on height, weight, age, or experience. This focus on diversity is also reflected in his past work, where he debuted models in wheelchairs, curvy, and visually impaired, demonstrating that beauty knows no boundaries.

Akutami continues to write his chapter in the history of fashion, combining creativity, inclusivity, and a strong connection to his roots. To stay updated on his creations and for special orders, one can visit his official website or follow him on social media.

In a fashion world that often tends towards uniformity, Akutami stands out for his bold vision and his ability to celebrate diversity, making each of his collections a true hymn to beauty in all its forms.

The eighth edition of the Milano Fashion Show, curated by Steven G. Torrisi, closed with a great success, confirming itself among the top events of Milan Fashion Week.

Hosted in the prestigious Biblioteca Filologica, one of Milan’s iconic cultural venues, the event was attended by more than 300 guests, including well-known faces from the entertainment industry, influencers and prominent figures in the fashion industry. A perfect combination of art, fashion and inclusivity characterized this edition, making the event a unique moment full of creativity.

The format, which aims to showcase the excellence of Made in Italy, featured runway collections by established and emerging designers, rewarding the protagonists of the fashion world for their creative and innovative contributions.

The parades: between novelty and tradition

Opening the event was Mario Dice, guest star of the event, with a collection inspired by the great actresses of Italian cinema, consisting of more than 30 shirts created to pay tribute to personalities such as Claudia Potenza, Anna Galiena and Vittoria Belvedere.

Dice then received the prestigious Milan Fashion Show plaque in recognition of his artistic contribution.

Next, Yukari Okino, Japanese designer founder of the emerging brand Panelo, enchanted the audience with her vision of “Quiet Luxury.”

Fashion and inclusiveness

One of the most significant moments of the event was dedicated to the theme of inclusivity. Alviero Martini, along with Giovanna Giambruno, founder of Udisky, and Giovanni Fecarotta of Audicon Milano, brought a message of awareness about hearing disability to the stage and received a plaque for their contribution to the cause.

Simone Di Matteo and Beatrice Giussani also received recognition for their commitment to inclusiveness.

Milan Fashion Show

New talent and special giveaways

Space was also given to young fashion talents with the participation of the SM School of Cesena, whose students presented a collection of 17 garments on the catwalk, demonstrating creativity and tailoring skills. Principal Katia Lorenzini collected the Milano Fashion Show plaque on behalf of the institute.

Among the surprises of the evening, fashion designer Pina Grasso presented, in addition to her twenty premiere garments, the perfume “PINA GRASSO PARFUM MADE IN ITALY,” an essence inspired by Sicily, celebrating the typical notes of orange blossom, cinnamon, and prickly pear. The project was met with great enthusiasm, earning the event plaque.

An event that leaves its mark

The Milano Fashion Show has reconfirmed itself as an innovative and inclusive event, capable of mixing the sophistication of fashion with a profound social message.

Steven G. Torrisi, artistic director of the event, has once again demonstrated his ability to create a format capable of surprising and celebrating fashion in all its facets.

Concluded with enthusiasm and participation, the Milano Fashion Show is already preparing for the next edition, ready to once again make its mark on the international fashion scene.

This international production, which has already captivated audiences in other world capitals, brings to the stage an innovative fusion of terror, suspense and breathtaking acrobatics.

As we age, the signs of aging tend to become gradually more evident in different areas of the body. One of the areas where this phenomenon is most noticeable is undoubtedly the face.

Today we discuss this with Dr. Simona Nichetti, an expert in aesthetic medicine and antiaging therapy.

How can we counteract the natural aging of the face? How to implement 3D facial rejuvenation?

Global facial aging, Dr. Nichetti explains, involves the resorption of bone tissue and the slippage of fatty tissue to the more sloping areas due to the effect of gravity, as well as the loss of muscle tone, a thinning of the dermis, and a consequent thickening and alteration of the epidermis.

The senescence process also causes an alteration in the production/distribution of skin pigment (melanin) resulting in the appearance of skin spots.

What are the 3D remodeling strategies? And what are the various techniques used?

The evolution of aesthetic medicine, when faced with the issue of skin aging, has responded quickly by fielding techniques to counteract this problem.

Through the use of hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights, explains dr.ssa Nichetti, we will aim at restoring the volumes of the face through the use of “structured” hyaluronic acid injected deeply, this method will also allow us to counteract sagging, continuing with a medium concentration hyaluronic acid for filling wrinkles and depressions (nasogenic and marionette wrinkles, glabella) and finally with the use of “light “hyaluronic acid to correct small wrinkles (such as crow’s feet etc…).

The use of these products ensures results that are more natural and in harmony with the patient’s needs.

facial rejuvenation non-invasive techniques

Another technique used is the biorevitalization which aims to “revive” the dermis resulting in increased hydration and firmness, while the use of peeling will be employed to stimulate epidermal renewal, erase blemishes and the “web” of superficial wrinkles due to photoaging.

The use of botulinum toxin will be used for correction of the upper third of the face, due to contractions of the muscles responsible for facial expression.

Regarding the over 40s, it is advisable to precede the three-dimensional facial treatment about 30 days earlier with a bioregeneration session with synthetic tissue growth factors with the aim of “awakening” the metabolic activity of fibroblasts (pivotal cells in the aging process).

This comprehensive approach will allow working on all planes so as to restore a refreshed, but not artifactual face following a physiological harmony of volumes and depressions, reinforced by regenerative medicine “strategies” to restore the physiological functions of the dermis, epidermis and muscle.

All this is done without invasive surgical procedures, while also ensuring rapid recovery times.

Fashion is like a dream that invites you to fantasize, and like a journey full of emotions, it is art meets everyday life, a concrete opportunity to reinvent yourself every day and to become sometimes, also an opportunity for leisure and relaxation.

And that is why today we present to you a simply extraordinary brand of handbags and accessories, a reality that fully corresponds to true Italian craftsmanship, with the San Leucio Silk fabric, which takes the name “Creazioni Artistiche di Maria Antonietta Mauro.”

Maria Antoinette is the creative mind of the brand, skilled and careful in researching fabrics and details. His creations amount to a beauty made of tradition and innovation, of an ever-evolving style, where a passion for luxury and uniqueness emerges.

Maria Antoinette Mauro

To the origins of the tradition of excellence

The fabric of San Leucio has remote origins. The San Leucio Silk is an excellence of the Campania region, later to become a World Heritage Site. This wonderful silk tradition dates back to the time of the Bourbon reign and is closely linked to the Royal Palace of Caserta.

An ancient history that inaugurated the first workshop for weaving Silk produced by silkworm farms. In the early 1900s the town of Caiazzo was also involved in silkworm processing. This precious fabric always had an enveloping appeal for Marie Antoinette.

Maria Antoinette Mauro

It encapsulates the history of traditions, values and those of the area to which it belongs.
The basic San Leucio Silk fabric is embellished in turn with trimmings, lace, chiffon, organza, semiprecious stones, half-crystals and beads.

Thus elegant pochettes, handbags, practical but still elegant handbags, purses are born. Accessories, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and earrings take shape, combining with other decorative elements. Her bags like accessories are like precious objects that guarantee for each individual piece their authenticity.

Entrepreneur and human rights activist Claudia Contepresented the Women for Justice art exhibition in support of women in war yesterday in Rome, on a symbolic date as November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The exhibition, which has already been presented in Milan under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Embassy of Ukraine and Rai for Sustainability, focuses full attention on women who day in and day out have to fight to see their rights protected. Even the primary ones, related to existence itself.

Think of Iran, but also Afghanistan, or Ukraine battered by the war unleashed by the Russian invasion: there are numerous contexts scattered across the planet in which the mere fact of being a woman can expose one to serious risks.

The exhibition, which Conte designed and organized in collaboration with Roma Capitale as part of the initiative “The Island That Wasn’t There,” was donated to the 14th City Hall, Santa Maria della Pietà, Europe’s largest former psychiatric hospital.

The exhibition itinerary, curated by anthropologist Francesca Grisot, includes a tribute to the mourning of Ukrainian women with the works of photographer Tetyana Erhart, followed by those of four Afghan women artists (Fatimah Hossaini, Roya Heydari, Tahmina Alizada and filmmaker Sahraa Karimi) who tell, through their shots, an Afghan woman quite far from traditional stereotypes. Among the works on display is an impressive tapestry made by young artist Sebastiano Furlotti, entitled For Whom the Bell Tolls.

To offer a large number of people the opportunity to view the works and contribute to the enhancement of an urban area of great historical importance, Claudia Conte decided to donate the entire exhibition to Roma Capitale, making the presence of the works at Santa Maria della Pietà permanent.

On Nov. 25 at 6 p.m., ahead of the official opening of Women for Justice, a panel discussion was held, live on Radio Radicale, at Binario F from Facebook, Meta’s digital skills hub. Claudia Conte herself moderated the speeches.

Claudia Conte Art Exhibition Rome

After the welcome by the Undersecretary for Culture Vittorio Sgarbi and of Claudia Trivilino, public policy manager Meta, speeches by Monica Lucarelli, councillor for Security Policies, Equal Opportunities and Productive Activities of Roma Capitale, Silvia Salis, vice-president CONI, Parisa Nazari, Iranian cultural mediator, Shahrbanu Haidari, president of the Women’s Solidarity Association for Afghan Women.

Also present were Oksana Amdzhadin, minister of the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy; Paola Radaelli, president of Unione Nazionale Vittime (UNAVI); Angela Tibaldi, PTS GROUP advisor and VP PTS; Andrea Catizone, legal advisor gender equality, diversity & inclusion; and Anita Falcetta, president Women Of Change Italia.

Final greetings by Paolo Vicchiarello, DG Mission Structure for the enhancement of major anniversaries of the Presidency of the Council, which sponsored the initiative.
