Meet Mahmood Reza

Trustee

Mahmood Reza, FRSA, FCMI, FTT, FCCA, DMS, PGCE, BSc (Hons)

Mahmood, London born, emigrated to Leicester in 1982 to study for his first degree at De Montfort University.  Work, business, wife, family, and cats have kept him in Leicester.

Mahmood is one of nine kids, the middle child and rumoured to be the cutest.   He initially qualified as a teacher, worked in education before moving into Industry to work as an accountant. He left industry after five years, as a qualified accountant, and a few other bits of paper along the way.

Mahmood is the Founder-Director of I Hate Numbers and Numbers Knowhow, and author of I hate Numbers.

On the International front he has carried out and been involved with several projects, in counties such as Russia, Cuba, Tanzania, Kenya and the Seychelles.

Mahmood has been actively involved in the governance of arts and educational establishments across the East Midlands and beyond and involved in the charitable and creative and cultural sectors for over 40 years, in a working, professional and voluntary capacity.

Mahmood joined Art Reach as a trustee in 2023 and in his words “is looking forward to further supporting Arts Reach, an impactful arts and creative organisation”.
